Adjunct Faculty Ruben Solis led the first class of the Atlanta Campus 2014 Emancipation Autumn in a deeper analysis of decolonizing power and violence of the state. The course assisted participants in understanding the history and context of the environmental and climate justice movements. The class was also joined by film maker and activist Catherine Murphy who screened her film “Maestra: A film about the Cuban Literacy Campaign” a powerful film that explored the 1961 Cuban campaign to introduce literacy to
